India batsmen Gautam Gambhir and Rahul Dravid compiled a record 314-run partnership before spinner Graeme Swann led an England fightback in the second Test on Saturday.
Opener Gambhir top-scored with 179 and Dravid stroked 136 for his 26th Test hundred.
The pair recorded India’s highest second wicket partnership against England on day two of the final Test.
India were 453 all out late in the evening following a slump after lunch in which the last nine wickets fall for 133 runs.
England openers Andrew Strauss and Alastair Cook walked out to face nine remaining overs, but play was called off due to bad light.
Swann, playing in his second Test, triggered the slump with three wickets for 10 runs after removing both the set batsmen to finish with three for 122.

After Wiinning 1st ODI, India is very confident on the 2nd test match with England. England is in bit Presure, since it is not good tour for England team. England team lost ODI series with 5-0 and lost the 1st test match.
This is last test match for Rahul Dravid ( The Wall), he already announced his retirement.

This is very good sign for India, After Virender Sehwag blasted with 83 runs in just 68 balls(11×4, 4×6). Opener Gambhir is playing on 41 and The Wall (Dravid) is on 2 runs. India need to save the wickets in first 2 sessions. Then they should play rocking shots to win the 1st test match.
In the 4th day play 2 centuriens (Strauss and Collingwood) played very responsible innings. Other than these 2 batsman no one didn’t made good scores. at the end of England second Innings 311/9 and declared. England kept 387 runs as target to Indian team.
At the end of 4th day India scored 131/1 runs and still needed 256 runs to win the match. Hopefully we wil have good time tomorrow.

Debutent Spinner Graeme Swann became only the second bowler in Test history to claim two wickets in his very first over. After restricting England to 316 in the first innings, the Indians lost the plot completely as a shocking batting collapse left them tottering at 155 for six at close on an eventful second day.
MS Dhoni (24) and Harbhajan Singh (13) were at the crease at stumps with India still trailing by 161 runs.

After Mumbai attacks England team accepted to play 2test series with India, Both test matches are hosting at Chennai and Mohali. After winning the 7ODI series with 5-0( 6,th and 7th abanded), India team is very confident on their play and India team won the series with Australia team aswell. It will be a tough time for England, but Kevin Pietersen may already have a different strategy to play in the test series.
Pietersen announced that off-spinner Graeme Swann would make his Test debut as the second slow bowler alongside Monty Panesar, while James Anderson and Steve Harmison would share the new ball.
It is expected that Yuvraj singh will debut in place of Ganguly. Badrinath, the batsman who was called again inspite of his bad form and Cheteswar’s Bright form. He has to prove that Srikkanth has choosen right person.
India is having chance to move back to NO:2 in ICC Test rankings, even India won the series with 1-0.

England have cut short the ongoing one-day series against India following Wednesday’s terrorist strikes in Mumbai and will fly back home on Saturday morning. However, Lalit Modi, the head of the BCCI’s fixtures committee, and Hugh Morris, the ECB’s managing director, both confirmed the Test series would still go ahead.
“The Test series will go ahead, and there is no problem with that,” Modi told . “We are sure the first Test will go ahead as scheduled in Ahmedabad [from December 14]. But there is a problem over hosting the second Test in Mumbai [from December 19]. The ECB wants the Test to be shifted to southern India, we are exploring all options.”
Bangalore and Chennai are among the venues being considered and Modi said a final decision would be taken in the next 24 hours after discussions with the ground authorities.
England have cut short the ongoing one-day Series in India following wednesday’s terrorist strikes in Mumbai but the Indian board remained hopeful that two-Test series, scheduled to begin on December 11, can yet be salvaged.
The decision to abandon the remaining two ODIs of the seven-match series was taken during a meeting between BCCI secretary N Srinivasan, England’s managing director Hugh Morris, and the Indian team management in Bhubaneshwar. England will not travel to Guwahati this afternoon as scheduled and will remain in Bhubaneshwar overnight, while further discussions with the BCCI take place. “The safety and security of the England team is of the utmost importance to ECB,” Morris said. “We have reviewed all our security arrangements in the light of these attacks and will be taking all necessary steps to ensure the safety and security of the team.”

Since Indian team already won the series with 4-0, they are looking forward to win the series with 7-0. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is making his team mates such a way that Indian team should clean sweep England team. I think that is possible for Dhoni’s team. But they need to work more hard.
England team take this advantage to win rest of the matches, since they have already lost the series. This is the time for England team to go with some experiments and they give the opportunity to the reseve players, who have not played a single match.
In Indian team there are going to have some changes in the team, Ghambir or Sehwag one will be out of the match to give the oppertunity for young players.

Still i am worndering about Indian team, Is it our Indian team?.. winning most of the matches from past 1year. Everything because of Dhoni, Dhoni is the best Captain after Hanse Cronje which i have seen in my 20yrs cricket life. We need to leave Indian team to Dhoni, he will take India is best in the world cricket.
After winning hatric matches with England, Indian team is so confident to win the series with 7-0 ( Clean sweep). Sachin Tendulkar is adding into the Indian team and now Indian team became very strong in the batting side. England team had to do some magic to win this match and keep the series live.
Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has reportedly offered to resign from the high-profile post following paceman Rudra Pratap Singh’s exclusion from the ODI team but the BCCI vehemently denied the development.
